Event catering websites that bring quote requests

A catering company for events sells food that the client will not taste until the day of the event, or at best at a tasting. Before that, the website has to convince them that you can feed their guests well, at a price that fits, with the dietary needs covered. A website for event catering needs menus by type of event, a price per person “from”, and a quote form that asks for the guest count, allergies and gluten free needs. I build that as a website in 7 days for USD 400, or as a full website for USD 900 when you want to edit menus and prices yourself.

A single menu of 60 dishes overwhelms. The person planning an event thinks in formats: a cocktail for a launch, a seated dinner for a wedding, a lunch break at a conference, a coffee break, an after office. Organize the site that way: one page per format, with two or three menu options each, and what is included (service staff, tableware, drinks or not).

Write the dishes as text, not as an image or a PDF. Text loads fast on a phone, can be read without zooming, and is what Google and AI assistants read. When someone searches for a cocktail catering for corporate events in your city, a page with that cocktail menu written out has a chance to appear. I explain that logic in how to show up in ChatGPT and AI answers.

Your price per person, with “from”

The first number an event organizer needs is the price per person. Not the final quote, just the order of magnitude, to know whether to keep reading. Publish your own price per person “from” for each format: the cocktail from this much, the seated dinner from that much. The final price changes with the guest count, the menu chosen, the date and the location, and the “from” says exactly that.

Without a reference number, you get two kinds of requests that waste time: those who would never pay your price, and those who assume you are out of their budget and never write. The “from” filters the first ones and brings back the second.

The quote form: guests, allergies, gluten free

The form is where most catering sites lose information. With “name, email, message” you get “how much for a party?” and start from zero. A useful form asks:

  • Event date and city or venue
  • Type of event (cocktail, seated dinner, lunch, coffee break)
  • Number of guests
  • Allergies or restrictions (nuts, shellfish, lactose, others)
  • How many guests need gluten free or celiac safe options
  • How many vegetarian or vegan guests
  • A contact: email and phone

Asking about allergies and gluten free in the form does two things. It gives you what you need to price correctly from the first answer, and it tells the client that you take it seriously. For someone organizing an event with celiac guests, seeing “gluten free” as a field in your form already answers a worry. Say clearly on the site how you handle it, for example if you prepare those dishes separately, but only say what you actually do.

WhatsApp for the last details

Many catering conversations end on WhatsApp: changing a dish, adding ten guests, confirming the arrival time. A visible button on every page that opens the chat with a message already written (“Hi, I saw the cocktail menu and want a quote for 80 guests”) saves the first round of questions. The setup is in connecting your website to WhatsApp.

Photos of real service

Show your food at your events: the table set, the plated dish, the staff serving. Stock photos of perfect dishes do not help, because the client wants to know what yours look like. Keep them light so the page opens fast on a phone; I cover why in page speed and the cost of every second.

Frequently asked questions

Which plan fits a catering company?

The USD 400 site in 7 days covers up to 5 sections: home, menus by format, gallery, about and quote request. The USD 900 full website adds a panel to change menus and prices per person yourself, as often as you want, delivered in 2 to 3 weeks.

Can the menus be in English for international clients?

Yes. Each extra language costs USD 200, with real pages in that language, not an automatic translation. It makes sense if you cater for companies or events with guests from abroad.

Who keeps the prices updated?

With the full website, you do it from the panel. If you prefer that I handle it, monthly maintenance costs USD 30 to 60 per month. An outdated price per person creates more friction than no price at all.
